Women fronted sister duo — American Roots Music steeped in earthy, rural, southern grit and raw authenticity.
Born and raised in southern Georgia, Indigo Roots takes the listener on a musical journey that reflects the beauty of their Southern heritage. The band has quickly garnered attention for their sound which resonates with bluegrass enthusiasts and those seeking a fresh approach to the genre, while holding on to tradition.
The sisters grew up in a one-stoplight town in Georgia — the kind of place where the post office doubles as the town square. They carried that upbringing to Nashville in 2018, and it’s still what their songwriting runs on: the belief that every life, good years and hard ones alike, is raw material for a song. Their originals draw from real people — hometown neighbors, family stories, and the strangers they’ve met on the road who hand them a story worth keeping, whether it’s funny, heartbreaking, or somewhere in between.
Both sisters started on violin at age four, before growing into the instruments that define their sound today — one voice, mandolin, and violin.
They have shared the stage and opened for some of the most prominent names in bluegrass such as Dailey and Vincent, Vance Joy, Rhonda Vincent, Balsam Range, and The Little Roy and Lizzy Show. Little Roy Lewis allowed us every year to play at his Thanksgiving concert which was very inspiring. They tour the United States performing and have played on The Dailey and Vincent Show on The Grand Ole Opry Radio Station and Woodsongs on RFD TV.
