A puppy sat in on a voice lesson

Victoria teaches voice lessons at Octopus Garden Studio in Spring Hill, TN — and this week, one student brought a plus-one nobody warmed up expecting: a brand new puppy.
The lesson started like any other — scales, breath support, a little run-through of the piece they’d been working on. Then a small rustle came from the corner of the room, and out trotted a tiny, wide-eyed puppy who had clearly decided the whole session was about her now. Vocal exercises got a running commentary of little grunts and tail wags, and it’s safe to say focus took a brief, very worthwhile detour.
No complaints from Victoria — the studio is, above all, a fun place to be.
About the studio
Octopus Garden Studio, located in Spring Hill, TN, teaches violin, guitar, piano, mandolin, banjo, viola, voice, and ukulele. Victoria has openings for voice lessons on Wednesdays and Fridays — puppy optional, but always welcome.
